A day in the life of Cody...

Well...I am home for Spring Break. I cannot tell you how needed it was! I have only left the house maybe twice! I've been ridiculously lazy! However, I did spend the day with Cody on Tuesday and we spent the day all over the metroplex. He travels a lot for work, so I went a long. It makes me incredibly jealous though because a day at work for him goes something like this...
1. Wake up and eat cereal
2. Watch TV
3. Make some phone calls, check emails and look at day planner
4. Get out and about for any appointments
5. Go by the office (maybe)

Seriously??! Those were his words exactly...so we went to Cabelas to return a graph for his boat that he had just bought...it quit working so we went in to exchange it. We were there at least 2 1/2 hours...it was the longest time ever. I had big plans on dragging him to Sam Moon afterwards but he wore me out so much at Cabelas that I didn't even want to go to Sam Moon anymore! I think that was planned...

So then Cabelas didn't have what he wanted so we had to go to Bass Pro Shop for another 30-minutes or so. I told him I should have stayed at home...I'm just not outdoorsy and cannot stay in Bass Pro and Cabelas for very long...

He left today to go down south to fish Lake Falcon...it is supposed to be the "Monster Bass Fishing Lake"...haha it just makes me laugh.

Sometimes I have no clue how we even ended up together. He hunts and fishes regularly and I cannot handle the thought of him killing something.

I say he is outdoorsy but he will not go camping...it's the funniest thing. He has to be on his Tempur Pedic mattress with his cereal and TV. We live a mile from the lake and camp sights and we always have friends come down and go camping and they want us to stay and camp but no thanks...our house is a mile away with plumbing and a kitchen!!

He really is the best husband ever and is ridiculously good to me! I wouldn't change a thing!

Not sure how this post turned into All About Cody!

Maybe I will decide to get crafty while he is gone and then will post some pictures! We shall see!

I'm going to try this with dinner...

And I believe I will make this. It's my week to host our weekly meeting.

And then after eating that... I will do a little Zumba.

Facebook Frazzled

I remember when Facebook was a college social networking website. It used to be only open to college students...then it expanded and expanded. Now, I know of 12 and 13 year olds that are on it!! I don't agree with that! The internet can be abused and misused, especially at such a young, difficult age!

Anyways, I had been on Facebook since 2005 when I was a freshman attending Tarleton State University. That's crazy to me! So of course...I had a good time in college and definitely lived the college life and got every bit of life's lessons while in college.

Well, now Facebook has launched a mandatory app called Timeline. Eeeeeek! Okay folks...there are things that date back to 2006 and 2007 that aren't my finest moments. I didn't want all that mess coming back to haunt me!

Yes, it's time to move on from Facebook and probably has been for a while. But, I love catching up with old friends and having a glimpse of old friend's lives.

So it came down to my profession. Do I want my employer taking a peek at my crazy college escapades...NO! So I did it. I deleted my page. I'm sure I'm not the only person out there beginning to worry.

Yahoo posted an article about the new Social Timeline and how many would probably be upset, considering it originated as a COLLEGE networking sight.

I've been meaning to devote more time to blogging...so I feel like this was the way OUT with Facebook and IN with Blogger. It kinda feels good...bittersweet anyways...

A little of this and that...

Every New Year, I tell myself that I am going to get on the ball and blog once a week but sadly I always feel like I don't have anything BLOG-WORTHY! I enjoy reading other people's blogs and hearing about their kid's and everything going on in their lives...my life never seems as fascinating! : )

Anyhow...I had been begging my husband for a new car for the past few months. I got my car a year and a half ago and it has been nothing but bad luck! It was a cute little black Nissan...and remember when the Rangers were in their first year of the playoffs...well I got stuck in that crazy traffic and was rear-ended...so we got that fixed. Then the whole side of it was side-swiped...so we got that fixed too. My goodness...just bad, bad luck!!

So I finally got rid of it! YAY! I got a 2011 GMC Terrain! I love it! A gal I know has a cute black one, and I just loved it so I came across a pretty good deal on a white one and got it last weekend. Loving it...

On another subject...
Work has been completely crazy...I'm definitely ready for a change. Whether it be new town or a new grade...I'm not sure. I have been praying a new door opens and that Cody and I see some new great changes this year! Keep us in your prayers.

 I've been so stressed with work that I have stayed at home all weekend and just done some relaxing and cleaning! I finally got my new napkin rings and dishes out and on the tables...love it! Although...I'm wondering if a brown napkin would have looked better. Pier 1 had them with tan too though... Thank you Pier 1!!!

And to wrap this random post up....I'm going to see Beauty and The Beast in 3D today! I can't wait!

Sneak Peek

Cody and I haven't had pictures done in over 2 years! So I thought we would get some new pictures for Christmas cards this year. A friend of mine Cassey was sweet enough to squeeze us in so I can hurry to get Christmas cards out. I think they are going to be pretty cute. Poor Cassey got stuck shooting a few in the rain!

Here is the first one she took. She was testing the lighting and wasn't even aiming for a good shot and it turned out pretty cute! Franky did so good! I will post more as they come!
