All of my kids are so different but so wonderful and I have had an amazing year! Here are some pictures and some of their work!

Black Friday

I always get really excited about Black Friday. However, I can never get anyone to go with me. Lucky for me...this year my neighbor Jessica said I could go with her. She has 2 kids that are 3 and 5...I've come to find out when you have kids...Black Friday is a must!! We started out at the Outlet Mall in Hillsboro at 10 p.m.! The Children's Place was having great sales! Everything was an additional 50% off. I picked up my Angel (off the angel tree) a few things. Then we went to Wal-Mart at 11 to wait in lines for their Midnight Sales. People are CRAZZZY! All I wanted from Wal-Mart were some new sheets, maybe a new back-up comforter and a few other things. Apparently a million other ladies wanted the same things and they were not nice about it! I ended up getting the LAST brown and turqouise comforter for $34.88. It's a 7 piece queen set. It's not the greatest...but it will work. It came with a bedskirt, shams, decorative pillows, etc, So you really can't beat it. I am just so crazy about our comforter that it's hard to change out! I did get a ton of sheet sets for $7 and a ton of Egyptian Cotton towels for $3.77! And they feel really good! Jessica was still on the other side of the store battling to get the kid's bicycles and scooters and a ton of other stuff! It was a mad house. After we left Wal-Mart we ran back to the Outlet Mall for the 47 " Flat Screen TV Drawing at 1:00 a.m.. There wasn't very many people who entered the drawing so we were hoping we could win! I never win anything! And....I didn't win the tv but I did win a FREE oil-change! Haha. We then left to go to Waco. Now it is 2 a.m.!! We went to the Wal-Mart there and there wasn't anyone in the store and there were tons of those comforters left that I had nearly got beat up over. Jessica ended up getting one too. Then we went to Kohls...it was disappointing-NOTHING there and it was CRAZY. Then we went to Sears....It wasn't too bad. I got Cody's mom a really cute King size Quilt in a tote. It was pretty cute and came in this little tote with shams and a decorative pillow. Then we went to Academy...I got Franky a new bed for $8.99, and I got some houseshoes. I wanted to get Cody more at Academy but he is so darn picky! I picked him up a few things here in there but I'm not going to tell you what in case he decides to read this. The we went home! I got back to my house at 6:30 a.m. and went straight to bed! And guess what! Jessica had to be at work at 8 a.m.! She is nuts! Later in the day I showered and went to Burleson and stopped at their Wal-Mart and Target and found a few more things. It was fun, so now I'm at home recovering today!! Whew! Good thing Black Friday only happens once a year!
A few of my purchases....

A Little Christmas Shopping

This morning I was laying around the house when the doorbell rang. I peeked out to make sure it wasn't the Jehovas Witnesses...their church is right down the road. It was Jessica! She is my wonderful neighbor! I have her son Braxton in my Kindergarten class this year! Anyhow...Jessica's husband, Dudley and Cody were at the deer lease and Jessica came over to show me all the steals she found at The Children's Place! I got so excited because we have tons of little girls on Cody's side of the family so we went to The Children's Place this morning. We got there right at 10 and they weren't open...so we went and ate at IHOP and then went back to The Children's Place. They were pretty picked over. I searched high and low for 24 months and 2t for Jacy, Cody's neice, but I couldn't find anything! Then I looked for his other 2 neices, Berkley and Presley who are 9 and 10. I found a ton of stuff that I thought was cute but wasn't sure if they would like or wear it. They seem so much older than they are. So, I don't know what to get them anymore...

I did find some cute stuff for Cody's cousin's babies. I think I did pretty good! Oh goodness do I ever have baby fever!? Cody says Not now, Not yet. We are going to wait a little longer... That baby will be spoiled rotten when we have one. I love shopping for babies and kids!! Anyways...here are some pictures of what I bought!
I used my cell phone to take these pictures so they aren't the best!

It's Been a While...

There hasn't been a lot going on in the Pratka household. Cody has been at the deer lease nearly every weekend, so I have just stuck around the house and cleaned and baked. This weekend was supposed to be pretty busy. We got invitations to a million different things this weekend. Jenn's shower tomorrow at 6, Berkley's birthday tomorrow at 6, Rachel's jewelry party tomorrow at 6, and then Clint's birthday in Stephenville tomorrow night. So how do we choose?? Well....Cody will be working in Stephenville all weekend so I am going to Jenn's shower and then I may meet Cody in Stephenville for Clint's birthday tomorrow night. Since I am all alone tonight I thought I would scrapbook for Jenn! I know she has been crazy busy with everything going on in her life so I made her a few pages for Bryce's scrapbook. Here are a couple of pics. I took them on my phone so they aren't the best.

Pumpkin Patch Pics

I've had a hard time finding anyone to take pictures of Cody and I. I wish Ashley lived closer!! But I finally found a girl named Brittney that is local and we went and shot a session with her last night! I am pleased with how our pictures turned out! It was a lot of fun...except for the mosquitos! Here are a few of our favorites!

I Love Fall!

So this weekend I met my best friend Amanda is Fort Worth for some shopping. I planned on looking for new clothes but I couldn't find anything I couldn't live without! I did buy a bunch of fall decorations and I got Cody 5 new shirts from Old Navy. I'm excited about my new fall decorations! We ended our day with dinner at Pei Wei in the Montgomery Ward Plaza. I love Pei Wei---it is my favorite place! So the day was perfect until....
I got rear-ended on I-20. Luckily nobody was hurt! But it wasn't exactly how I wanted to end my perfect day. Cody was still In Tulsa working so I called Amanda and she came and got me and drove me all the way back home and then she had to drive an hour and a half from my house to hers! She is the greatest! Now the people are trying to pin this on me...I can't see how. I wasn't exactly backing down I-20. Errr...

On a happier note, here are my new decorations!!

Deer Season Means Shopping Season!!

Saturday I griped and complained all evening to Cody about him being gone day and night to the Deer Lease and how he never wanted to spend time with me...so Sunday morning he wakes up and says "Do you want to go to the deer lease with me?" I was thrilled! "Sure!" so we jumped in the truck and headed to Stephenville. It was already off to a rough start when he got pulled over going 17 over in Glen Rose...YIKES! That isn't going to be a cheap ticket! So we got to Stephenville and went and ate at the Feed Mill....I was sooo excited they had put a ton of pumpkins out! I have been looking every where for pumpkins and guess what...Cody rushed me out before I could buy some. He said if we were done early enough he would bring me back to buy some. We got to the lease and I was miserable...WHY did I want to come out here?? I was bored out of my mind and I have no interest in hunting! All I could think about was all of the pumpkins at the Feed Mill! Needless to say...I didn't get a pumpkin. We didn't get home until like 7:00 last night. I'm never going to argue with him again. I will go shopping next time. HELLO hunting season! HELLLLOOOO Shopping Season!

Happy Fall Y'all!

Oh goodness! I can't wait! Don't you love this cool weather?? I know I do! I was sick and tired of it being 105 degrees! Fall is my favorite time of year! It reminds me of football, hunting, orange, red, brown and gold, my wedding anniversary, Halloween and Thanksgiving! I could go on and on! I've already hung my fall garland on the tops of my kitchen cabinets and my wreath is on the door! I'm so excited about decorating our front porch! Hopefully I will get more done tomorrow! That's it for now! I will post more soon...
